The Wasteland is coming to the world of pinball! Stern Pinball unveils its brand-new pinball machine inspired by the cult classic world of Fallout, the famous video game and TV series franchise. Available in PRO, PREMIUM, and Limited Edition (LE) versions, this new pinball machine offers a particularly immersive experience, blending technology, action, and iconic references to the post-apocalyptic universe.

A pinball machine in the heart of the Wasteland
With this new model, Stern Pinball draws on the Fallout universe, made popular not only by its video games but also by the hit television series. Players are invited to explore the Wasteland and experience the adventure through several iconic characters: Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, and Maximus.
The goal? Explore the Vaults, battle the creatures and enemies of the Wasteland, and set out in search of Wilzig’s head to uncover the secrets of Cold Fusion.
Immersion comes not only from the gameplay, but also from the soundscape. The pinball machine features music and sound effects from Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and Fallout: New Vegas.
An interactive PIP-BOY at the center of the set
You can’t talk about Fallout without mentioning the PIP-BOY. Stern Pinball has made it one of the central features of its new pinball machine.
Developed in collaboration with The Wand Company, this interactive LCD screen—integrated into the game board—displays various game details in real time, as well as instructions to help players progress through their adventure.
Another particularly recognizable feature is the Nuka-Cola target. Stern offers a vertical Up/Down rotating target here, shaped like an actual Nuka-Cola bottle cap. Players can collect the famous bottle caps, the iconic currency of the Fallout universe.
Fat Man, Radscorpions, and Other Dangers of the Wasteland
The gameplay is certainly action-packed. The board features a shooting mechanic that lets you take on several iconic Fallout enemies, including Radscorpions, Ghouls, and Raiders.
The Fat Man Launcher—a nod to the famous mini-nuke launcher from Fallout—allows players to fire the balls at various targets. It’s a particularly spectacular way to bring the franchise’s arsenal into the world of pinball.
The Pro model also features a particularly unique design: an inverted top flipper, which Stern describes as a first in the pinball world in over 75 years.
PRO, PREMIUM, or LE: Which version should you choose?
Stern Pinball is releasing Fallout in three versions to cater to the preferences of different types of players.
Fallout Pro Pinball Machine
The PRO version is the entry-level model in the lineup. It already includes the key elements that define the pinball machine: an interactive PIP-BOY, a Nuka-Cola target, the Fat Man Launcher, the Fallout soundscape, and gameplay inspired by the franchise’s characters and events.
This is a particularly appealing option for operators who want to offer a new machine that’s instantly recognizable and capable of attracting fans of the franchise.
Fallout Premium Pinball
The PREMIUM version takes the experience even further. In particular, it adds a Vault Lower Playfield equipped with the Magna-Flip system, allowing players to discover the experiments conducted by Vault-Tec.
It also features amulti-axis Fat Man Launcher, a V.A.T.S. system that automatically controls aiming, and a 3D Deathclaw design with a kickback coil.
A version packed with mechanical and interactive elements, ideal for players looking for a more in-depth experience.
Fallout LE Pinball Machine
At the top of the lineup, the Limited Edition adds an even more spectacular and exclusive touch.
It stands out in particular for its Vault-Tec-colored accents, laser-cut backlit pinball armor, and the Expression Lighting System™, which uses smart RGB LEDs to create lighting effects synchronized with the action.
The LE also features an interactive lighting system integrated into the speakers and cabinet, further enhancing immersion in the Fallout universe.
